Episode 4: Documentation actually IS self-care

Episode 4: Documentation actually IS self-care

As most of you know, in recognition of Psychology Month in February, we were delighted to offer some new resources that enabled us to dive a bit deeper into our 4C’s model of self-care.

In particular, we started off the month by launching our “pop-up podcast”, Thrivival 101. During this time, we covered topics that might not always immediately come to mind when thinking of self-care, but that from our perspective are highly relevant and align with our 4C’s model (Connection, Compassion, Courage, and Creativity).

We had the great pleasure of interviewing Linzy Bonham (Fitting Finances into Your Self-Care), Dr. Jo Eckler (Infusing Some Creativity into Your Self-Care), and Dr. Dayna Lee-Baggley (Using Values to Guide Your Self-Care Journey). Each of these inspiring women spoke about how these topics fit into self-care and also shared one of their own favourite non-conventional self-care strategies.

Thanks to the wonderful response we received and our incredible enjoyment of interviewing and connecting with other therapists about self-care, we have decided to keep the podcast going!

This month we’re delighted to release our interview with the founder of QA Prep, Dr. Maelisa McCaffrey (you may also know her as Dr. Maelisa Hall), where we discuss how documentation (yep, that’s right!) fits into self-care. We also get into some of the factors that contribute to therapists’ struggles with documentation, and what we can start doing today, in order to start feeling more on top of our documentation. We hope you’ll check out this great discussion, as well as any past podcast episodes you may have missed.

Stay tuned for more episodes to come!
