We appreciate your patience over the past few months as we have continued to work on the new format for our podcast. We are delighted to say that launch day is now scheduled!
Please mark your calendar for Monday, December 2nd, 2024, when the first 2 episodes of our new podcast, Intentional Therapist: Putting You in Your Schedule, will be live.
Why a new podcast? Well, despite being so grateful for the wonderful conversations we had during the 2 + years of our original podcast, Thrivival 101 (which you can still listen to in the same podcast feed), we realized that pretty much every female therapist we’ve spoken with feels short on time. We didn’t want the podcast, and self-care in general, to feel like another task on your to-do list that you can’t get to!
Our goal with the new show is to provide short (~15 minutes) but valuable episodes to normalize the challenges we face in truly taking good care of ourselves in this work, while also giving you actionable ‘self-care experiments’ you can try for yourself.
As with the original show and all of our messaging, our mission is to help you build a life where you thrive right alongside your clients, without guilt and without burning out. And, without simply relying on the traditional, commodified self-care advice. Because we all know that we need so much more than bubble baths and breathing exercises!
Each episode will also dig deeper into practical strategies grounded in our 4 C’s model – Connection, Compassion, Courage, and Creativity. We hope the new show will ultimately give you the encouragement and permission you need to put more of you back in your schedule and create a life from which you don’t need to escape!
